Registering Users: Registering Users for Courses

DigitalChalk offers several methods to register users for courses:
- Self-registration:
By default, learners can register themselves through the catalog. To disable this:
- Go to the Offerings page under the Create menu, and click the name of an offering
- Click on Registration from the context menu
- Use the toggle for “Exclude from catalog”
- Manual registration:
- From the Offerings page:
a. Click the three dots next to the course name
b. Select “Register learners”
c. Enter user names or emails
d. Click “Add user” and then “Register”
- From the Offerings page:

- From the Users page:
a. Check boxes next to users to register
b. Click the action bar at the bottom right
c. Select “Register for course”
d. Enter the course title and complete the registration
- Bulk registration:
- Go to the Users page
- Click the dropdown next to “Add User” and select “Register users”
- Enter the course name
- Upload a CSV file with user email addresses
- Map the email address field
- Click “Import now”
- Check the results after processing
- Automated registration rules:
- Access through the Lead menu and select Registrations
- Click Add in the upper right
- Category tabs of rules include:
a. Login rules (register users when they log in)
b. Event rules (register after completing another course)
c. On-demand rules (immediate registration)
d. Scheduled rules (register after a specified time post-completion)
Remember to check that all users have accounts before attempting to register them for courses. The registration process may take several seconds to minutes, depending on the number of users.
