Registering Users: Adding Users

There are two primary methods for adding users to your DigitalChalk organization: individual user creation and bulk import.

Adding Individual Users:

  1. Navigate to “Lead” > “Users”
  2. Click “Add User”
  3. Fill in required fields:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Password
  1. Complete any additional required fields you’ve created
  2. Click Save at the bottom of the page
  3. Optional: Check “Force user to update password at login” for security
  4. Click Roles from the context menu to set any additional user roles 
  • Course Administrator – Access to the Create and Lead tabs, for course creation, users, Gradebook and basic reports
  • Organization Administrator – Access to organization-level settings and financial reports
  1. Click “Save”

Bulk Importing Users:

  1. Prepare a CSV file with user data (including headers)
  2. Go to “Lead” > “Users”
  3. Click the dropdown next to “Add User”
  4. Select “Import Users”
  5. Upload your CSV file
  6. Map CSV columns to DigitalChalk fields
    • Ensure all required fields are mapped
  7. Click “Import Now”
  8. Monitor the bulk activity page for import status
  9. Check success/failure messages for details on imported users or errors

Important notes:

  • Required fields must include first name, last name, email address, and password
  • Custom fields can be included in the CSV with appropriate headers
  • Administrative roles cannot be assigned during bulk import
  • After a successful import, users can be viewed and edited on the Users page
