- Encoding is an automatic process that occurs when you upload media files to DigitalChalk. Here’s what you need to know:
- After selecting your media file and clicking “Upload,” DigitalChalk will begin the encoding process.
- You will see messages indicating that the media file is uploading and when the upload (encoding) is complete.
- The encoding process can take several minutes, depending on the size and type of your media file.
- During encoding, DigitalChalk optimizes your media for streaming and ensures compatibility across different devices and browsers.
- Once encoding is complete, your media will be ready for use in your chalkboard.
The media file will now be displayed on the Media line at the bottom of the chalkboard. Video files appear as a small picture, while audio files appear as a speaker icon.
