Building and Launching Courses: Creating Survey Questions

To add questions to your survey:

1. On the survey’s “Content” tab, click “Add Question.”
2. Choose the question type you want to add. Survey question types include:
   • Text choice
   • True/False
   • Opinion scale
   • Short or Long Text
3. Enter the question text.
4. For multiple choice or Likert scale questions, add the response options.
5. Unlike tests, you don’t need to specify correct answers for survey questions.
6. Click “Save” after creating each question.
7. Repeat steps 1-6 to add more questions to your survey.
8. You can reorder questions by dragging and dropping them in the question list.

Remember, surveys are not graded, so focus on creating clear, unbiased questions that will give you the feedback you need. Consider using a mix of question types to gather both quantitative and qualitative data.

After creating your survey, don’t forget to activate it (like you would with a test) to make it available to students in your course offerings.
