Building and Launching Courses: 1. Upload Content

To upload content to your DigitalChalk course:

  1. From the Courses list, click “Elements” under the course you want to add content to.
  2. Click “Add Element” and choose the appropriate element type (e.g., Chalkboard, File, Learning Package).
  3. Enter a title for the element and click “Save.”
  4. On the next screen, click “Upload New Content” or “Manage Media” (depending on the element type).
  5. Your file selection window will appear. Select the file you want to upload.
  6. Click the “Upload” button.
  7. Wait for the upload and encoding process to complete, as applicable. This may take several minutes, depending on the file size.
  8. Once uploaded, the content will be available for use in your course element.

For specific element types:

  • For Chalkboards: After uploading, click “Choose” to use the media file in your chalkboard.
  • For Files: The uploaded file will be automatically associated with the File element.
  • For Learning Packages (SCORM or PowerPoint): The content will be processed and made available in the course. Once the file has been uploaded, make sure to click choose from the list in order to attach it to the element. 

Remember to activate your elements or publish your course to make the content available to students.
