Automations: 1. Creating a Catalog Rule

To create a catalog rule in DigitalChalk:
- Navigate to the Manage menu
- Select “Catalog Rules” from the available options
- Click on “Add New Rule”
- Define the rule criteria:
- Select the trigger event (e.g., user registration, course completion)
- Specify the conditions that must be met
- Choose the action to be taken when conditions are met in the Consequences section
- Set the rule priority if you have multiple rules
- Name your rule and provide a description
- Save the rule

Example of a catalog rule:
- Trigger: New user with specific job role
- Condition: User’s job role is “Sales Representative”
- Action: Automatically enroll user in “Sales Basics 101” course
Remember to review and test your catalog rules to ensure they function as intended.
